A recent index of State Economic Momentum, a quarterly report published by Washington, D.C., ranked Arizona No. 5 in the nation for its economic growth.
The economic report has been published based on three recent performance parameters of all the states' policies: personal income growth, employment growth and population growth.
Arizona achieved tremendous success in the parameters by moving up to the third position from the sixth position in personal income growth; climbing to ninth position from its earlier score of the 10th in employment growth; and reaching the sixth position from the previous eighth position in population growth.
The combined outcome of these parameters resulted in Arizona's ranking as fifth in economic momentum.
“We will continue to work to make Arizona the best state in the nation to launch new ideas and start or scale a business,” Gov. Doug Ducey said.
