Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Benefit for Charlie Johnson & Family
Charlie Johnson, son of Josh and Deanna Johnson of Volin, was born on December 26, 2017. After days of struggling to eat and breathe, he was diagnose with Pierre Robin sequence - a series of facial abnormalities including a cleft palate, small, recessed lower jaw and a tongue place further back than normal, in a spot where it easily blocked his airways.
When he was just a week old, Charlie was airlifted to Sioux Falls for specialized care and jaw surgery. He's home now, but there will be more surgeries and lengthy hospital stays to come.
Help give a hand to this future farmer and his family!
